After enjoying warm weather in El Salvador and Miami, Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami travel to the cold city of Dallas for their friendly match on Monday, January 22, where the Cotton Bowl Stadium and a temperature of 43° Fahrenheit, or approximately 6° Celsius, await them.

The team led by Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino will turn up on US soil after playing in San Salvador at approximately 23° Celsius, while the city of Miami also sits at around 20 degrees. However, the game in Texas presents a new challenge for the ‘Herons’: the weather.

Farías injury takes shine of pre-season excitement

Inter Miami comes off the back of their goalless draw against El Salvador in a game that certainly has caused leaving doubts ahead of the beginning of the season, especially the untimely news that Facundo Farias will miss the entire season with a ligament injury.

Chilly weather awaits Miami

This Sunday, the city of Dallas woke up to weather of 34° Fahrenheit, which is below zero (-1° Celsius), although according to the U.S. Weather System, it is expected to sit at around 6° Celsius on Monday when the first whistle is blown at Cotton Bowl Stadium.

According to FOX 4, widespread showers are expected during this Sunday night and Monday morning. High altitude frosts are possible on Sunday night, especially along the Red River, although temperatures will rise above freezing.

This Monday’s match will be the coldest Messi has played since he set foot on North American soil; as for the other games, a slightly warmer climate awaits the side in Saudi Arabia against Al Nassr (without Cristiano?), Hong Kong and finally Miami.
