Amid Inter Miami’s preparations for the demanding 2025 season—which includes competitions in Major League Soccer, the CONCACAF Champions Cup, and the Club World Cup—significant remarks from Neymar surfaced on Tuesday, expressing his desire to reunite with Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez.

Despite this, The Herons remain focused on the league as they explore the possibility of completing such a signing in the future.

In an interview with Ben Jacobs of GIVEMESPORT, Inter Miami co-owner Jorge Mas discussed the franchise’s ambition to sign the 32-year-old Brazilian star: “The key is whether he’s available. Right now, he’s an Al Hilal player, so he’s not available to us. I’ve always said we aspire to bring great players to our team. While we face many squad limitations and restrictions, we have an unlimited budget.”

Inter Miami ‘won’t hesitate' to sign Neymar

Mas emphasised the team’s long-term goals, adding: “We have high aspirations. If the opportunity to sign a player of Neymar’s caliber arises, we won’t hesitate. However, it’s not solely up to me; it depends on the player and the league. That said, we are committed to building a great squad here.”

He also highlighted Messi’s transformative impact on the sport in the U.S. and outlined the team’s ambitions for the coming years: “Look at what Lionel Messi has done—he’s revolutionised soccer in the United States and changed global perceptions of American soccer. As we prepare to represent our country at the Club World Cup, starting with our opening match against Al-Ahly, hundreds of millions of people will be watching. It’s both an incredible opportunity and a significant challenge for us.”

Neymar expresses desire to return to Brazil

In a separate interview with CNN, Neymar shared his aspirations to represent Brazil in the 2026 World Cup in North America, saying “I have a lot of faith in our team and in the young players emerging. Right now, we’re not where we’d like to be, but I believe that together we can achieve something remarkable. We have a year and a half to prepare and do things right.”

He continued: “I’ll do everything I can to return, of course, for sure. I will try, I want to be there. I known this will be my last World Cup, my last shot. My last chance and I will do everything I can to be a part of it.”

For Neymar to achieve this goal, staying healthy, regaining his rhythm, and performing at the highest level will be essential. In this context, Inter Miami could provide an ideal environment for him to rebuild his form and fulfil his ambitions. “Obviously playing again with Messi and Suárez would be incredible. They are my friends. We still speak to each other. It would be interesting to revive the trio", he concluded, sparking hope in the minds of the fans.
