Inter Milan “dreaming” of Santi Giménez signing
After the great season they are having in the Eredivisie, the Mexican team has caught the attention of the Neroazzurro team.
Santiago Giménez continues to impress in the Eredivisie with Feyenoord, currently leading the league’s goalscoring chart with 12. His standout performances have attracted the attention of several clubs in the top European leagues.
Where next for Santi Giménez?
According to information from the Italian media outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter Milan is reportedly highly interested in signing the Cruz Azul academy product in the upcoming winter transfer window. In the case that Inter is unable to secure Giménez, they are considering a Plan B, which is the Iranian forward Medhi Taremi, currently playing for Porto in Portugal.
“Inter is thinking about Taremi but dreaming of Giménez. If the financial resources are available, Inter Milan would not hesitate to sign the Feyenoord forward, even if negotiations become difficult due to the high transfer fee demanded by the Dutch club,” reported the Italian media.
Giménez recently renewed his contract with Feyenoord, which is set to expire in the summer of 2027. This means that any club interested in his services would need to invest a significant amount of money to secure the signing.
If the transfer option becomes a reality, though, Santi would face tough competition to earn a spot in the starting eleven. He would be competing with players like Joshua Zirkzee, Marco Arnautovic, Marcus Thuram, Alexis Sánchez, and the experienced Argentine Lautaro Martínez for a place in the lineup.
