One more game, one more defeat for Chelsea, this time against Borussia Dortmund, 1-0 in the Champions League. The Graham Potter experiment with the Blues might be coming to an end. Unfortunately, the ex-Brighton manager is not what the London base team thought he would be. The incredible job he did with the Seagulls has not been repeated so far. And it is no wonder the Blues are seeking new talent to take their hot seat.

Apparently, and oddly enough, they have set their eyes on José Mourinho. Everyone remembers the team’s rocky relationship with the Portuguese in his second stint with them. Things didn’t end the way they would have wanted. He left the team in 16th place the last time around, and Chelsea had to pay him 21 million euros for sacking him before his contract was up.

Is José Mourinho interested in coming back to Chelsea?

The now Roma manager is not happy with his current team. José asked the team to invest in new players if they want to compete for the top positions in Serie A. Something that Roma is not keen on doing at the moment.

Currently, the team sits in the 4th position, tied with Atalanta at 41pts. Getting into the Champions League will be crucial for the Italians if they want to keep their current gaffer. At the beginning of the season, the Special One stated that finishing top of the league and entering Champions would be a miracle.

Mourinho won the Conference League tournament with Roma last year. Reassuring everyone that he still got the juice to make things happen.

When is José Mourinho’s next game with Roma?

The Italians will face FC Red Bull Salzburg this Thursday, February 16th, for the Europa League knockout stages.
