Is there another USA Clásico coming soon?
Mundo Deportivo has revealed that Barça are working on a new tour of the United States; they could play against Juventus and Madrid.
Mundo Deportivo revealed on Wednesday that Barça are already working on a new tour of the United States that will take them to New York, Los Angeles and, perhaps, another city in the United States to avoid the harsh temperatures of places like Miami and, above all, Dallas and Las Vegas, which he has visited other summer.
The last time we had a USA Clásico
Barça are currently working on the same opponents as last summer. Juventus and Madrid, the ‘dissidents’ of UEFA over the Super League issue, could play against Barcelona along with a selection of American teams. So, another Clásico is cooking. Barça and Madrid have already played two games lately in the United States. In 2017, the Catalans won 3-2 in what was Neymar’s last game with the side. Last summer, Barça also won with a solitary goal from Raphinha.
This season, the balance in the official Clásicos is even in terms of goals. Madrid won 3-1 at the Bernabéu in the League and Barça by the same result in the Super Cup. There are still three pending, two in the Cup and one in the League.
More LaLiga teams to travel to North America
Barcelona and Real Madrid are not the only teams with continental trips on their minds. LaLiga is in the process of organising a friendly tournament in the United States and Mexico that will include Atlético Madrid, Real Betis, Real Sociedad and Sevilla. The tournament set to be played in July or August and the Spanish teams will face off against each other. It is not yet known if there will be any participation from Liga MX or MLS teams.
