Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernández is going through a goalless streak in the last four games across all competitions with the Los Angeles Galaxy. The last time the Mexican international found the back of the net was in the 2-1 win over LAFC in the first edition of El Tráfico of the current campaign.

When Hernández doesn’t score, the Galaxy struggles to walk out with the three points. The following game after LAFC was against the Chicago Fire and that match ended in a scoreless draw. Then the Galaxy made their debut in the third round of the US Open Cup with a 1-0 win against San Diego Loyal.

Chicharito came on as a substitute in the 77th minute, but couldn’t score his first goal of the competition. The Galaxy then hosted Nashville and even though Hernández played the entire 90 minutes, Dejan Joveljic scored the only goal of the game to secure the three points.

When will Chicharito play again?

On Saturday, the Los Angeles Galaxy went on the road to play against Real Salt Lake and lost 1-0, their third defeat of the season in the Western Conference. Hernández and the Galaxy will try to bounce back next Sunday when they go on the road to face Austin.
