Jordan Silva and Alexis Gutiérrez set for second spells at Cruz Azul
Both players will join for the Clausura 2023 season.
Cruz Azul have signed Jordan Silva and Alexis Gutiérrez for the Clausura 2023 season.
On their social channels, the Mexican club announced that both players, who have played for La Máquina in the past, will now be part of the squad coached by Raúl Gutiérrez.
“We make official the signings of Jordan Silva and Alexis Gutiérrez to the first team of La Máquina. Welcome back,” was the message posted by the club, accompanied by a photograph of both players.
Returning to Cruz Azul
Jordan, 28, played last season with Gallos Blancos of Querétaro. The defender joined Cruz Azul’s pre-season training camp in Cancún, where Gutiérrez had him on trial before giving the green light to sign him.
Silva defended the Celeste shirt from 2017 to 2019. In addition to La Máquina, he has played for Toluca, Xolos, América and Querétaro.
Gutiérrez, meanwhile, was loaned by Cruz Azul to Tapatío in 2021, in Liga Expansión, where he stayed until last season.
