Real Madrid provide Bellingham injury update: is it serious? When will he return?
The English midfielder went down in the game against Rayo Vallecano.
Real Madrid have released a statement on Jude Bellingham after the player went down injured in the first half of the LaLiga fixture against city rivals Rayo Vallecano.
Bellingham was seen clutching his hamstring in the buildup to the game and after a sprint early in the fixture the player collapsed to the floor and was eventually substituted for Brahim Díaz by manager Álvaro Arbeloa.
In a statement, the club said:
Following tests carried out today on our player Jude Bellingham by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the semitendinosus muscle in his left leg. Awaiting evolution.

The club provided no further information and did not provide a timescale for his recovery and subsequent return to the pitch, although estimates appear to suggest that he will be out for around a month.
