Juventus lose Timothy Weah for the rest of the year
United States striker Timothy Weah has suffered a right thigh injury and will be sidelined for at least two weeks. He is expected to return in January.
United States striker Timothy Weah, who was having a great moment at Juventus, suffered an injury to his right hamstring, and will therefore miss the last games of the year with the Italian side.
Weah, who came on as a substitute in the Coppa Italia Round of 16 match against Cagliari, entered the pitch in place of Francisco Conceicão in the 81st minute.
Despite being on for only a few minutes, the American had time to contribute with an assist for the Argentine Nicolás González.
Which games will Weah miss for Juventus?
The 24-year-old had become a regular for Thiago Motta’s Serie A side and was even instrumental in assisting compatriot Weston McKennie in the 2-0 win over Manchester City.
Weah is expected to miss the matches against Monza on Sunday, December 22, and against Fiorentina on December 29, hoping to return in time for the Italian Super Cup clash against Milan, where he could face compatriots Christian Pulisic and Yunus Musah.
Weah joins the injured Musah and Pulisic, who are also out for the rest of the year but are expected to be fit for the Italian Super Cup semi-final.
