Juventus send message to Real Madrid over Vlahovic transfer
From the Italian club in Turin, they have made it clear what their position is with the in-demand Serbian striker.
Juventus has dismissed rumours of a potential departure of Dusan Vlahovic, stating that the Serbian striker remains a crucial player for their current and future projects.
Juve stand strong on Vlahovic position
Reports had suggested that Juventus’ financial situation could lead to the sale of some of their star players, with Vlahovic’s name mentioned as a potential target. However, the club’s director, Francesco Calvo, was clear in his response.
“We have no doubts about Dusan, who is a crucial player for our current project and future, despite the links and stories that are being published. We see how hard he works every day in training, so we have confidence in the present and the future, we are optimistic.”
Vlahovic, who joined Juventus in the winter of 2021 for over $80 million, has seen his form dip since arriving in Turin from Fiorentina. Nevertheless, Real Madrid is reportedly monitoring his situation as they plan to carefully replace their veteran striker, Karim Benzema. As the likes of Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappé are not expected to be available until 2024 or 2025, Vlahovic is seen as a promising option for the Spanish club.
