LA Galaxy vs LAFC: rosters, possible starting XIs, injured and suspended players
LA Galaxy and LAFC face off in the MLS on Saturday 9 April in the 13th edition of El Tráfico at Dignity Health Sports Park.
Saturday’s contest will be the 13th MLS regular-season meeting between the rivals, with the LA Galaxy leading 5-2-5 heading into the game. The Galaxy have a strong recent record against LAFC and are unbeaten in their last three outings.

After winning 3-1 away to the Portland Timbers on 3 April, the Galaxy will be confident of maintaining their strong home record against LAFC on 9 April.
Marky Delgado was sent off against the Portland Timbers and is suspended for the match. Defender Jorge Villafaña is out after undergoing knee surgery, and Adam Saldana remains sidelined with an ankle issue.

LAFC team news
LAFC remain undefeated in 2022 but haven’t won in their five-year rivalry at Dignity Health Sports Park. The Black & Gold have only conceded four goals so far this year and rank second in the league in expected goals against per 90 minutes.
Today will also be the first time Mexican soccer stars Carlos Vela and Javier “Chicharito” Hernández face off in an MLS match. The last time the pair met on the field was on 5 November 2013 in the second leg of the Champions League group stage when Real Sociedad played Manchester United in a 0-0 draw.
Former LAFC defender Raheem Edwards, who featured in 27 games in 2021 for the Black & Gold, joined the Galaxy in the off-season as a free agent.
Erik Dueñas (knee) and Eddie Segura (knee) both miss out for LAFC. Franco Escobar could return to action for the derby.
