Cristian Chicho Arango made an immediate impact since arriving at Los Angeles Football Club in 2021 and has become their best striker in two seasons. The 27-year-old has scored 30 goals and provided seven assists with LAFC and he was a key player when they won the 2022 MLS Cup trophy last year.

The Colombian striker is happy in Major League Soccer, but according to journalist Tom Bogert, Arango wants a new contract. So LAFC needs to make him an offer soon because several clubs are interested in him. It has been reported that the MLS side rejected an initial bid from Saudi club Al-Ahli for Chicho Arango.

Al-Ahli offered Los Angeles Football Club $3 million for Chicho Arango, but the MLS side is asking for at least $6.5 million to consider the move. It is not known if Al-Ahli will make a second bid to sign the Colombian striker, who will demand a better salary to remain at LAFC for a long period of time.

What is next for LAFC

The MLS Cup defending champions kicked off their 2023 training camp on January 8 ahead of the start of the pre-season. The Los Angeles FC play five pre-season matches before they enter their sixth year in Major League Soccer and start their title defense.
