LAFC unveil new season home jersey with Denis Bouanga absent
LAFC unveiled their new kit for the upcoming MLS season, featuring Son and goalkeeper Hugo Lloris as the main protagonists.

Without changing the traditional black and gold color scheme, LAFC unveiled their new kit on Tuesday, February 10, featuring goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and star player Heung-Min Son as the main protagonists in the promotional clip to accompany the launch.
In the video, both figures can be seen playing chess, the Korean player thinking about his next move, while the French goalkeeper watches attentively, stirring his coffee. At that moment, an individual arrives carrying a suitcase to show off the club’s new jersey.

The video also features other players from the Los Angeles team, including Ryan Hollingshead, Niko Tsafari, and the club’s recent signing, Ryan Porteus.
Among the details of the jersey are the fabric dyed with the word ‘Los Angeles’ on the back of the neck, an aerial view of BMO Stadium on the label, and our traditional “shoulder to shoulder” message embroidered inside the collar. The Adidas logo and the club crest are also featured.
The jersey is now available for purchase at the official MLS store and is priced at $159.99, including the MLS and Apple patch. However, a jersey featuring a player name and patches is priced at $194.99.

Bouanga, the great absentee
One thing that stands out is that Denis Boaunga’s name does not appear as a player option for jersey personalisation and the striker is also the great absentee in the video with which the Los Angeles team presented the jersey.

A few days ago, AS learned that the Gabonese striker could leave the club in this winter transfer window, provided they meet the African player’s price.
Both the Brazilian and MLS transfer markets are open, so a move to Fluminense is still a possibility before the start of the season next week.
Last season, Bouanga managed to score 24 goals and nine assists, being one of the best in the campaign, however, the Los Angeles team is willing to free up that designated player spot to go for another figure at Son’s level.
