Polish TV channel TVP Sport are reporting that Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has decided to leave the club.

The report claims that Lewandowski no longer intends to renew his contract and has already reached an agreement to join FC Barcelona. The Polish international’s contract at the Bundesliga club expires in 2023.

European clubs interested

Lewandowski’s agent, Pini Zahavi, has been listening to offers from top European club. Other media outlets in Poland are reporting the news “from Lewandowski’s entourage” claiming that an agreement has been signed for the next three seasons.

Germany’s Sport 1 and Sport Bild explain that, according to Bayern, the player has not yet communicated anything to them and that they are waiting on his decision. It is known that he could leave the club at the end of the season, however, they are not aware of an agreement with Barcelona.

Bayern legend

Lewandowski has been with the German giants since 2014 and has become one of their all-time greats. The legendary striker is now entering the final twelve months of his contract and is reportedly seeking a new challenge.

Barcelona have been monitoring his situation as Xavi looks to bring in another goalscorer. It remains to be seen where the 33-year-old ends up plying his trade over the coming seasons.
