Lionel Messi drops hint over Inter Miami debut

Lionel Messi was received like a king in his new home on Sunday. Inter Miami presented their new star at the DRV PNK Stadium in the middle of a storm that delayed the presentation in front of over 18 thousand fans.

Messi thanked the fans who showed up and although he acknowledged that the rain made things different from what was originally planned, it was still a proper party.

“I want to thank everyone for yesterday! The rain made it different from how it was planned but still... it was beautiful,” the Argentine star wrote on his official Instagram account.

However, that’s not where the former PSG player’s message ended. Messi also confirmed that he will be back on Friday, writing, “See you again on Friday”.

Neymar wishes Messi luck

Reactions then arrived on his Instagram account and one of those who wrote to Messi was Brazilian star Neymar, who wished his former teammate at Barcelona and PSG good luck.

Other reactions included Lionel Scaloni’s assistant coach in the Argentine national team, Pablo Aimar, as well as MLS.

Inter Miami will play in the Leagues Cup on Friday, July 21, when they face Cruz Azul at the DRV PNK Stadium, with Messi now set to feature and make his much-awaited debut.
