Another Potter draw
Opta - Since his first season in the Premier League in 2019-20, no manager has overseen more goalless draws than Graham Potter (16).
FT: Liverpool 0-0 Chelsea
The result doesn't help either team. Chelsea had the ball in the net in the first half but it was ruled out for offside.
Mudryk was exciting when he came on for his Chelsea debut.
The game lacked quality and the draw leaves the sides a long way off the Champions League places.
The cutting edge was missing in the final third at Anfield on what was a frustrating early afternoon for the home fans.
Both their Premier League meetings finished in draws last season.
Liverpool draw again
Klopp's side move up to 8th place for now with the point. Chelsea stay 10th.
And there's the full-time whistle!
NUNEZ!
His shot is blocked in the box but it doesn't matter because he is offside.
Liverpool's corner is played short. Chelsea clear it. Liverpool win it back, but it eventually ends up in Kepa's hands.
It hasn't been a good game at all. Both sides need a win but the clock is ticking down at Anfield.
Klopp is furious on the sideline as Jorginho and Nunez battle it out and the German coach thinks it should be a Liverpool ball.
There will be five minutes added on.
Jones flies into Gallagher and Cucurella is not happy. There is some pushing and shoving. Jones picks up a yellow.
Trent floats a free into the box. Chelsea clear the danger.

It's Milner's first yellow card this season. Liverpool are struggling with the pace and trickery of Mudryk.
MUDRYK!
He does so well to get by Milner and Gomez in the box but can only hit the side netting.
What a goal that would have been on his debut! 0-0
Liverpool change
Darwin Núñez replaces Naby Keita.
Keita has a shot on the edge of the box which is blocked by Mudryk.
Ziyech shoots!
It would have been a superb goal but he can't make it count.
Chelsea played Klopp’s side four times in 2021-22 and drew them all in either 90 or 120 minutes, with Liverpool winning both cup finals after a penalty shoot-out.
Mudryk is starting on the left for Chelsea. He's highly-rated. Let's see if he can have an impact on this game as the sides look for the opener.

The ball falls to Thiago the edge of the box. He shoots but it's easy for his compatriot Kepa. 0-0

Match preview: Chelsea
Lying level on points with Liverpool, 10th-placed Chelsea are in even worse form than their hosts. The Blues’ Premier League triumph over Crystal Palace on Sunday was their first win in their last five games - a sequence of results that includes a 4-0 FA Cup hammering by Manchester City.
Seven Chelsea players are out of the trip to Anfield due to injury, while loan signing João Félix is suspended after his debut red card in last week’s defeat to Fulham.
Match preview: Liverpool
Two straight Premier League losses have left Liverpool down in ninth, a full 10 points adrift of the Champions League places, in a miserable start to 2023 for the Reds.
A 3-1 reverse at Brentford on 2 January was followed by a 3-0 thumping away to Brighton on Saturday - and, to make things worse, key defender Virgil van Dijk was sidelined by a hamstring injury in the first of those defeats.
Liverpool did pick up an FA Cup win over Wolves on Tuesday, though, Harvey Elliott’s goal earning victory at Molineux in the sides’ third-round replay.

Hendo's programme notes
In his programme notes ahead of today's game, Jordan Henderson writes: "One of the toughest things about playing for a club like Liverpool is the standards are so high. Draws can feel like defeats and actual defeats can feel like the end of the world. As I said, it is tough, but none of us would change it for the world. It’s what makes this club what it is.
"This season in general and the last few weeks in particular have not been easy for us. We have not been at our best, we have not been anywhere near as consistent as we need to be, and the standards that we have set for ourselves have not been met. To say it has not been good enough would be an understatement.
"Again, though, being at Liverpool means this does not just need to improve – it has to improve. We can’t just accept it and settle for falling short either in games or over the course of a season. This club stands for much more than that and anyone who is fortunate enough to play here knows that nothing but the best will ever be good enough.
"I wouldn’t say this is an easy responsibility to carry. It is a great one in more senses than one and you know the level of scrutiny will always be higher and the criticism fiercer than it might be at other clubs, but we also get to use this knowledge as an extra motivation, especially when we have so much awareness of what it feels like to be a Liverpool player when we do meet those exacting standards."

Klopp on his 1000th game
Jurgen Klopp takes charge of his 1000th game today and here is what he had to say:
“It is a massive thing, a crazy number – I feel really blessed. The beard is really grey now, and that was not the case when I arrived here.
"I’m not sure if that is because of the age or because of Liverpool. I did the job I loved for the clubs I loved so I am blessed.”
