Liverpool’s Alisson Becker drops out after concussion
The Brazilian No. 1 collided with Colombia’s Davinson Sánchez during the World Cup qualifier against Colombia.

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker suffered a concussion during Brazil’s Wold Cup qualifier against Colombia on Thursday night, forcing him to withdraw from the international break.
During the 2-1 Brazil win Alisson collided with Colombia’s Davinson Sánchez and landed heavily. Both players were taken off with around a quarter of an hour to go.
On Friday the Brazilian national team confirmed that Alisson had left the camp and was traveling back to Liverpool to undergo further assessment. He will miss next week’s game against Argentina and could even be a doubt for Liverpool’s next Premier League fixture, at home to Everton on April 2.

However Brazil’s team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar had a positive outlook on Alisson’s condition, saying: “During the treatment on the field, he did not report any fainting or memory loss, he was conscious and oriented the whole time. We substituted him because he had minor complaints, he thought he was a little slower and there was some possibility of a concussion, so in cases of this suspicion, the recommendation is to substitute the player.”
Alisson Becker has been in the form of his life with Liverpool this season, providing an imposing presence in goal for the runaway Premier League champions. His performance in Liverpool’s 1-0 victory away to Paris Saint-Germain has been heralded as one of the best of his illustrious career and he will be hoping to return in time to continue the Reds' title charge.
