Liverpool’s Salah makes his preference clear
With all the speculation about his future, and some spectacular performances in the first half of the season, Mohamed Salah has opened up.
The 2025 season is shaping up well for Liverpool, who have quickly adapted to life without Jürgen Klopp under the leadership of Arne Slot. The team currently sits atop the Premier League table with 45 points, even with a game in hand over their closest challengers. Arsenal, Nottingham Forest, and Chelsea are within striking distance but trail by six, eight, and ten points, respectively.
At 32 years old, Salah is proving to many that he could be the most decisive player of the 2024/25 Premier League season. He leads the league in both goals (17) and assists (13), outperforming stars like Erling Haaland and Bukayo Saka. And the Egyptian King’s focus is clear – bringing another league title to Anfield after four consecutive years of Manchester City dominance.

Salah prioritizes Premier League over Champions League
In an exclusive interview with TNT Sports Mexico, Salah reflected on his current form, his legacy with Liverpool, and his views on individual and team achievements.
“In the past, I used to go crazy about those (individual awards), but I’ve almost won so many things. So, thank you to everyone for that, but no, I don’t think it drives me the same way anymore,” Salah admitted, before revealing what his preferred title would be this season.
“Now, I just feel like I want to win, especially the Premier League, more than the Champions League this year. It’s the Premier League. To be an important part of the team winning – that’s amazing."
Salah also had time to talk about the new boss.
“Before I worked with Arne Slot, I didn’t expect he was this good,” he admitted. “Then we started working and I’m not surprised at all!.”
“He’s great with details, great with small things, doesn’t have ego when he makes a mistake… he’s great on tactics”,
