Monterrey midfielder Luis Romo, Chivas defenders Gilberto Sepúlveda, Alan Mozo and América defenders Israel Reyes and Ponchito González are the revelations of the current Clausura 2023 tournament according to Goalstats website specialized in analyzing performance and tactical data.
The four players along with Víctor Guzmán (Chivas), Iván Moreno (León), Jesús Gallardo (Monterrey) and Henry Martin (América) complete the list of Mexican players who appear in the top positions of the ranking after 17 weeks of the championship. Also in the list are: Juan Brunetta (Santos Laguna), Julián Quiñones (Atlas), Iván Moreno (León) along with Nahuel Guzmán and Samir de Souza (both Tigres).
Also featured were: Adonis Frías (León), Maximiliano Araújo (Toluca), Richard Sánchez, Diego Valdez and Álvaro Fidalgo (all América) and Jean Meneses from (Toluca), who were the best of this championship.
In the position-by-position analysis, León’s Rodolfo Cota del and Tigres’ Nahuel Guzmán appear as the top-performing goalkeepers.
The defenders with the best figures included: Iván Moreno (León), Alan Mozo, Gilberto Tiba Sepúlveda and Samir de Souza of Tigres, Israel Reyes from América and Adonis Frías from León; Jesús Gallardo from Monterrey and Maximiliano Araújo from Toluca.
As for the top ranked midfielders, they included: Luis Romo (Monterrey), Richard Sánchez (América), Juan Brunetta (Santos Laguna), Diego Valdez (América), Jean Meneses (Toluca) and Álvaro Fidalgo (America), Víctor Guzmán (Chivas) and Ponchito González (Monterrey).
Finally on the list are América’s top scorer Henry Martin and Julián Quiñones from Atlas. It should be noted that CITEC Fútbol’s analysis took into account several players in the same position according to their performance.
