Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain interested in AS Roma striker Tammy Abraham
Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain representatives have been to Italy to watch Abraham.
Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are monitoring AS Roma striker Tammy Abraham, as reported by Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The report explains that during the recent game between Roma and Milan, scouts from both clubs were in attendance, with both looking to add forwards to their squads over the summer.
United and PSG have been linked with Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, however, Abraham would arrive at a lower cost.
United looking for striker this summer
United see the 25-year-old as a possible replacement for Netherlands international Wout Weghorst, who is unlikely to stay at Old Trafford beyond the summer.
Erik ten Hag will want to bring in a regular goalscorer as he can’t continue to rely solely on Marcus Rashford for another season.
With Harry Kane’s future at Tottenham up in the air, Spurs representatives have also been in Italy recently and it may have been to watch Abraham.
It remains to be seen whether United and PSG submit offers for the frontman at the end of the season. He has a contract with Roma until 2026 and his contract has a €80m buy-back clause for Chelsea.
In the current Serie A campaign, he has eight goals and four assists in 32 games for José Mourinho’s side.
