Mbappé ‘disappears’ from poster for PSG game vs Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr
The French forward appears on the rest of the adverts for PSG’s Japan tour, but for the game against Cristiano, his face is absent.
Mbappé's future is still up in the air and any word that falls from the lips of the player is scientifically analysed as it is slammed across every newspaper. The latest twist in the tale is that the PSG poster for their upcoming friendly game against the Cristiano Ronaldo-led Al Nassr in Japan, which Luis Enrique’s team will play on July 25, a certain Kylian Mbappé does not feature.
When the games were first announced, Mbappé face was the main feature of the promotional material published by the French club, although it seems that he has now been removed.
Why is Mbappé not on the PSG posters?
Great question. The reason seems to be that Mbappé will return to training with the team on July 17, just 8 days ahead of the friendly game against the Saudi Arabian side, meaning that he will likely not be match fit to feature in the game.
His teammates will have started preseason training a week earlier and the French player will therefore have that first week in Japan as a rest week, as he also spent 15 days with the National Team just after finishing the domestic season with his club.

As for the other games on the Japan tour, Mbappé does actually feature, and as the main star. Alongside him stand his teammates such as Neymar, Achraf, Marquinhos and Kimpembe. If PSG knew that his exit was happening before the Asian tour began, he would certainly not appear on any material related with the club.
Therefore, the lack of pre-game preparation time in the hectic schedule of Mbappé leading up to the game against Cristiano and Al Nassr must surely be the reason for his absence.
