Kylian Mbappé left out of PSG tour to Japan
The Parisian club has left the French striker out of the squad for the Japan tour and once again rumours of a departure this summer start to grow.
Another twist in the Kylian Mbappé summer soap opera unfolded on Friday with the news that PSG confirming that the striker will not travel with the expedition as the embark on a pre-season tour to Japan. The French club have made their position clear in that the forward will only wear the PSG shirt again if he extends his contract with the Ligue 1 side as rumours of a pre-contract deal with Real Madrid already established grow.
The player’s intention was to travel to the Japan and play out the last year of his remaining contract with PSG. However, the club has been firm in their position and making it clear, as Al Khelaïfi well announced during the week, that “no one is above the club”.
Mbappé, who scored a goal in this Friday’s friendly against Le Havre, could have played his last minutes in the PSG shirt. L’Équipe maintain that if the striker does not renew, the club could rule him out completely and not let him play anymore this season. For now, the first measure in their strategy has been to leave him in Paris with the rest of the first team jetting off as part of the Asian tour in Japan.
