Mbappé's X account hacked: who was behind it?

The intruder posted multiple messages on the Real Madrid star’s account including one about Ronaldo and Messi.

Real Madrid footballer Kylian Mbappé was the victim of a hacking incident on his social media account on X (formerly Twitter) earlier this morning. The intruder, posing as Mbappé, posted numerous messages that initially alarmed his followers. However, these posts have since been deleted after the account was restored to the footballer.

Hacked | a post from the Kylian Mbappé account

The hacker posted several messages on Mbappé's account that included phrases like “Cristiano Ronaldo is the greatest football player of all time. This midget is NOT my goat,” accompanied by a photo of Lionel Messi crying. These posts, which were clearly intended to provoke and stir controversy among fans, were quickly deleted once Mbappé regained control of his account. Other users who had spotted what was going on had their own fun with it.

Another of the posts went so far as to speculate that Mbappé was falsely interested in going to Manchester City... or more likely Manchester United, and for free in 2028. The hacker also posted more controversial and offensive messages related to Israel and Palestine, as well as denying a possible return to PSG.

Who hacked Mbappé X account?

Although nothing is clear, some following the timeline of the hacking have suggested that those users mentioned specifically by Mbappé’s account while he was not in control may have been involved. No doubt the relevant authorities will take the appropriate action.
