Messi and Suárez to spend Christmas together
The Uruguayan arrived in Rosario and will spend the holiday season with his former teammate at the Kentucky Country Club.
After the heroics at Lusail Stadium in Qatar last Sunday as Argentina secured the world cup in dramatic fashion with a penalty shoot-out win, Leo Messi is now spending some downtime in his native Rosario.
Tracking Santa this Christmas Eve
Time to unwind
Messi, along with wife Antonela Roccuzzo and three sons Thiago, Mateo and Ciro will be joined by the extended family over the Christmas period. The group will be joined by Messi’s former FC Barcelona teammate Luis Suárez with the Uruguayan international star accompanied by wife Sofía Balbi and children. The current free agent was spotted at the Islas Malvinas International airport in Rosario on 22 December.
The Uruguayan was one of the first people Messi called from Lusail on Sunday shortly after lifting the World Cup trophy.
It’s reported that both families will spend time together over Christmas at the luxury Kentucky Country Club, in Funes (on the outskirts of Rosario). PSG restart their Ligue 1 campaign on 28 December as they face Strasbourg at home but it’s anticipated that Argentina’s No. 10 will be given some additional time off to recover from the rigours and demands of playing through to the final at the 2022 World Cup.
