Messi included on Inter Miami’s MLS match day roster against Colorado Rapids: will he play?
After what feels like an eternal wait, the World Cup winner is finally back in The Herons’ squad to turn their winless run around.
Messi is back! Inter Miami have announced their match day roster for the MLS game against Colorado Rapids, which will be played at Chase Stadium on April 6 (KO 7:30 p.m. ET./4:30 p.m. PT) - and Messi is a part of the list.
The World Cup winner has been out of the squad since picking up an injury almost a month ago, and the side has struggled without him, going winless in their last 4 games.
Now, he is back and will look to feature for at least some minutes in the game against the side from the Western Conference. Colorado sit 7th after 6 games with 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses.
Will Messi play against Colorado Rapids?
Ahead of the game, Inter Miami assistant manager Javi Morales said that Messi “has been improving day by day, it’s been seven days, so he is feeling better, he is training with the group so we are waiting for today’s training to see how he feels and then make a decision”.
“Today we will see how he feels in training. If he (Messi) feels good, Tata will surely want to play him for 10 minutes, 15 or 45, but it is certain that we want to have him back,” Morales added.
“He trains every day with the physio, sometimes he goes out on the field depending on how he feels, trains with the group and the physical part with the physio, but lately he has been participating quite a lot in training,” Morales concluded.
