Messi makes acting debut in Argentine series ‘Los Protectores’
The Argentina captain made a brief cameo in a television streaming series ‘Los Protectores’ in which the former PSG striker plays himself.
As Lionel Messi continues to enjoy his last days of vacation in his native Argentina before reporting to Inter Miami, the Albiceleste captain is in the news again but this time following his venture into the world of acting.
Messi made his debut as an actor in a series called ‘Los Protectores’, which is broadcast in Argentina via the Star+ streaming service and in which the 36-year-old striker plays himself.
The scene in which Messi appears lasts approximately five minutes and in it the Rosario player is featured along with three representatives played by Argentine actors Adrián Suar, Gustavo Bermúdez and the Colombian Andres Parra.
‘The Protectors’
In the scene Messi is offered a business venture from the three ‘Protectores’ offering him the possibility to play with a different club every day across all Argentine divisions (Almirante Brown, Chacarita Juniors, River Plate and winding up in Newell’s...) and Messi feigns anger and feels that he has been betrayed as they initially proposed a different initiative.
The situation finally culminates with all four individuals appealing for calm and ultimately the representatives manage to get Messi on board to support a business venture to help young Argentine footballers looking to move to Europe.
Where to watch Messi on screen?
