Messi’s new club Inter Miami loses again; Josef Martínez makes MLS history

Despite having fired coach Phil Neville for poor results and announcing the signing of Messi, Inter Miami are still struggling and are at the bottom of the Eastern Conference.

Inter Miami, who stunned the world of soccer recently with the announcement they had signed World Cup winner Leo Messi, are still struggling in the MLS and are stuck at the bottom of the Eastern Conference. The latest poor result, a 3-1 defeat to the New England Revolution.

New England as the home side, were dominant as they took Inter Miami apart with Carles Gil, Matt Polster and Bobby Wood scoring. Josef Martinez got the consolation goal.

With this result, Miami remain at the bottom of the Eastern Conference with just 15 points in the 17 games they have played; 5 wins, zero draws and 12 losses.

Josef Martinez makes it into top 10 MLS scorers

Despite the defeat, the Venezuelan forward, Josef Martinez, put his name into the MLS history books, scoring a penalty to make it onto the top 10 top scorers in American soccer with 102 goals.
