Mexico possible starting lineup vs Cameroon friendly game
Here’s how Diego Cocca is likely to arrange his team for their game against Cameroon ahead of the semi-final of the Nations League.
The preparation games on the eve of the Concacaf Nations League and Gold Cup finish on Saturday 10 June for Mexico. El Tri will play against Cameroon in a friendly game which will set them up perfectly for the huge tie against the USA on June 15.
Mexico arrive at the game after the win over Guatemala in Mazatlán Sinaloa and now they are looking to continue their good form under Diego Cocca. In terms of the starting eleven, it is thought that the manager will make significant changes to the team that started the last game, with just three players featuring again.
Mexico’s indifferent recent run of results
Mexico have not had bad results, but they have not been great, either. Their last win before beating Guatemala came against Suriname, with an own goal and a strike from Johan Vásquez sealing the victory. After that, Cocca overcame some criticism with a positive draw against the USMNT.
Antuna scored in the second half and it took a late goal from Jesús Ferreira for the USA to get something out of the tough tie. They also drew 2-2 against Jamaica in a game that had a very strong starting XI that included Hirving Lozano, who is now unfortunately injured.
Israel Reyes, Néstor Araujo and Ozziel Herrera are the only players who will remain in the starting XI for the game against Cameroon that will take place in San Diego, according to information that has been revealed:
