After losing to Paraguay by the minimum last night, Mexico have several friendly matches arranged ahead of the World Cup. Mexico are in Group C and begin their campaign in Qatar against Poland, then face Argentina and close the group stage against Saudi Arabia.

In September, Tata Martino’s team have two games scheduled, the first of which is against Peru on the 24th and three days later they face Colombia.

Mexico’s next friendly is against Iraq on 9 November and the final warm-up will be against Sweden on 16 November just a couple of days before the World Cup gets underway. The Tri’s opening game at the World Cup is against Poland on 22 November.

Martino’s team’s last victory was back on 11 June - a 3-0 win against Surinam in the Nations League. Prior to that, Mexico faced three Conmebol teams in the qualifiers, losing 3-0 to Uruguay, drawing with Ecuador 0-0 and losing last night’s friendly 0-1 to Paraguay in Atlanta.
