The 2024 MLS All-Star game will be held at Lower.com Field in Columbus, Ohio on Wednesday, July 24, with Inter Miami quartet Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, Sergio Busquets Jordi Alba set to be the biggest names on show as the top talent from the American league take on the Liga MX All-Stars.

Which MLS All-Star events can I watch online or on TV?

The MLS All-Star Skills Challenge and the MLS All-Star Game are the only two events which will be broadcast. The All-Star Concert will not be televised or streamed.

MLS All-Star Soccer Celebration

All-Star week kicks off with the MLS All-Star Soccer Celebration on Saturday, July 20 (4:30 p.m to 9.30 p.m. ET) and Sunday, July 21 (3 p.m. to 7 p.m. ET). The free festival in McFerson Commons Park will include interactive fan zones, music, games, autographs, free giveaways, MLS watch parties, and more.

MLS All-Star Concert

The MLS All-Star Concert is also scheduled on Sunday. Grammy-nominated artist and producer Marshmello will perform at Nationwide Arena, with multi-platinum recording artist PinkPantheress also making a special appearance.

MLS All-Star Day of Service

The MLS All-Star Day of Service takes place on Monday, July 22, in which fans and All-Star guests will have the chance to do some volunteer work, packing 100,000 meals for local children and families in need. Afterwards, there will be “a family-friendly celebration with food, music, entertainment, games, and more,” according to MLS. What is the MLS All-Star Skills Challenge? Will Messi be involved?

The MLS All-Star Skills Challenge takes centre stage on Tuesday, July 23 (at 7:30 p.m. ET at Lower.com Field). 10 members of the MLS All-Stars will face 10 of their Liga MX counterparts in these five competitions: Shooting Challenge, Touch Challenge, Cross and Volley Challenge, Passing Challenge, Crossbar Challenge.

Neither Messi nor Suárez is expected to be involved, with Busquets and Alba to be joined by the likes of Luciano Acosta, Riqui Puig, Federico Bernardeschi and Cucho Hernández.

MLS NEXT All Star Game

Earlier that day, the MLS NEXT All-Star Game, featuring 44 of the top MLS NEXT players, will be played at Historic Crew Stadium at 11:30 a.m. ET.

Special Olympics Unified Sports MLS All-Star Game

That will be followed by the Special Olympics Unified Sports MLS All-Star Game at 3:30 p.m. ET, in which teams comprised of players with intellectual disabilities (Special Olympic athletes) and without intellectual disabilities (Unified partners) will take part.

MLS All-Star Community Day

On the morning of Wednesday, July 24, the 2024 MLS All-Star Community Day will be held at Northgate Intermediate School, with the aim of advancing youth soccer and education in Ohio. The youngsters in attendance will receive soccer clinics from former MLS and Liga MX players and can take part in a 5v5 tournament. Other features include AED/CPR training, community resource booths, music and food trucks.

The MLS All-Star Game itself rounds off the week, with Messi and Co going up against the Liga MX All-Stars at 8:00 p.m. ET at Lower.com Field.

This will be the 28th edition of the MLS All-Star game and the third time the Liga MX All-Stars will be involved (after 2021 and 2022). The MLS All-Stars have won 11 and lost nine of their 20 appearances, with last year’s game ending in a 5-0 defeat to Premier League club Arsenal.
