MLS provides more than 100 players for the FIFA break: which team has the most?

The November international break will feature a significant number of representatives from Major League Soccer.

The final FIFA match window of the year, held from November 11 to 19, will feature a significant number of players from Major League Soccer, including those called up for youth national teams.

Representatives from the US’ top league will report to their national teams for World Cup Qualifiers, Nations League matches, AFCON Qualifiers, and friendlies.

Which MLS players are on international duty?

Here’s a list of MLS players called up by each club for senior national teams:

Atlanta United, which recently eliminated Inter Miami in the MLS playoffs, has six players called up: Luis Abram (Peru), Stian Gregersen (Norway), Saba Lobjanidze (Georgia), Alexey Miranchuk (Russia), Efrain Morales (Bolivia), and Bartosz Slisz (Poland).

From Austin FC, Osman Bukari (Ghana), Julio Cascante (Costa Rica), and Jimmy Farkalun (Liberia) are the selections. Charlotte FC adds five more players: Liel Abada (Israel), Nimfasha Berchimas (USA), Tim Ream (USA), Karol Swiderski (Poland), and Jeremías Uronen (Finland).

FC Cincinnati answers the call with Teenafe Hadebe (Zimbabwe) and Miles Robinson (USA), while the Colorado Rapids have goalkeeper Zack Steffen (USA). Columbus Crew has Mohamed Farsi (Algeria), Steven Moreira (Cape Verde), and Patrick Schulte (USA) as their chosen players.

Manuel Cafumana (Angola), Maarten Paes (Indonesia), and Carl Sainte (Haiti) represent FC Dallas, while D.C. United adds two more: Boris Enow (Cameroon) and Matti Peltola (Finland).

Houston Dynamo and Sporting Kansas City each have one representative: Coco Carrasquilla (Panama) and Alenis Vargas (Honduras), respectively.

LAFC, a top contender still alive in the MLS Conference Semifinals, has four call-ups: Mateusz Bogusz (Poland), Kei Kamara (Sierra Leone), Cristian Olivera (Uruguay), and Nathan Ordaz (El Salvador).

Inter Miami CF contributes three players to CONMEBOL: Leonardo Campana (Ecuador), Diego Gómez (Paraguay), and Lionel Messi (Argentina). Minnesota United FC is contributing the most players for this international break, with seven: Michael Boxall (New Zealand), Carlos Harvey (Panama), Robin Lod (Finland), Tani Oluwaseyi (Canada), Teemu Pukki (Finland), Joseph Rosales (Honduras), and Dayne St. Clair (Canada).

CF Montréal and Nashville SC have two and three call-ups, respectively: Jonathan Sirois (Canada), Joel Waterman (Canada), Randall Leal (Costa Rica), Jacob Shaffelburg (Canada), and Patrick Yazbek (Australia).

The rest of the teams also have an average of three to four players called up per club, with the Portland Timbers and Vancouver Whitecaps among those with the highest representation, exceeding this average.
