The Leagues Cup Round of 16 continues this week with a whole host of fascinating fixtures.

On Tuesday night Nashville SC will host Liga MX giants Club América at Geodis Park. Both sides have impressed in this year’s expanded Leagues Cup tournament but only narrowly made it through the Round of 32.

Nashville progressed thanks to a penalty shootout victory over MLS leaders FC Cincinnati after a 1-1 draw in normal time. América needed a second half own goal from Gaston Gimenez to ease past the Chicago Fire in their knockout tie, but will be without some key players for the clash in Nashville.

Last year’s Liga MX top scorer Henry Martin was withdrawn from the team after suffering an injury in the warm up, while midfielder Richard Sanchez will miss the next game after picking up a late red card in the win over Chicago.
