The Moroccan Federation issued a statement announcing that it has filed an official protest against FIFA for the refereeing of César Ramos in the semifinal match against France, and the “arbitral injustice” it was subjected to on Wednesday.

“The Royal Moroccan Football Federation protested the refereeing of the match between the Moroccan team and the French team, led by César Arturo Ramos Palazuelo,” the Moroccan Federation said in a statement.

Moroccan officials are protesting about Theo Hernandez’s possible penalty on Soufiane Boufal that the Mexican referee did not signal and which ended in a yellow card for the French striker. The action took place when the match was 1-0 in favor of France and the domain evidently corresponded to Morocco. They clearly consider themselves harmed by this at such a decisive moment. The second case relates to Aurélien Tchouaméni holding midfielder Selim Amallah after a corner kick.

The Federation added that “the university was surprised at the same time that the mouse room (video assistant referee) was not alerted to this.
