Pachuca’s Luis Chávez has offers from Spain, Netherlands
Having caught the eye with his good performances in the Apertura 2022 tournament, Chávez is attracting attention from European clubs.
Once again, Pachuca are in the final of a Liga MX tournament, after securing a 6-2 aggregate win over Monterrey in the semi-finals of the Apertura 2022 playoffs. As Los Tuzos look for their seventh league title, one of the stars of their campaign so far has been midfielder Luis Chávez.
Chávez earns admirers in Europe
According to TUDN journalist Paco Arredondo, Chávez’s performances have attracted offers from clubs in Spain and the Netherlands, so the 26-year-old could be Europe-bound in the next few months. What’s more, the Mexico international is targeting the Qatar World Cup as an opportunity to increase his market prestige.
Álvarez also on European clubs’ radar
Within Mexican soccer, there are also clubs interested in Chávez, but Pachuca will only let him leave if they receive a good financial offer. Meanwhile, right-back Kevin Álvarez also has admirers in Europe, with Ajax sending scouts to watch him in action against Monterrey.
According to Arredondo, Pachuca chiefs are keen to sell the 23-year-old to a European club, just as they have in the past with other players such as Héctor Herrera, Hirving Lozano and Erick Gutiérrez.
