Potter: “We’ll try and win the f***ing Champions League!”
The Champions League draw today saw Chelsea facing title holders Real Madrid and Chelsea coach Graham Potter is ready for it.
Chelsea has made it through to the quarterfinals of the Champions League. During the Champions League draw today, they found out they will face last year’s champions Real Madrid.
Potter showing personality
Ahead of the draw on Thursday night, Chelsea boss Graham Potter and some of the team were at an event with some fans. Potter spoke directly to the fans at one point, thanking them for being loyal and supportive of the team even during the hardest parts. Then, he said this:
“We’ll need them on Saturday, we will try and beat Everton. Then we’ll take the draw, and then we’ll try and win the f***ing Champions League,” Potter said to loud cheers and applause in the audience.
This will be a fantastic match between Chelsea and Real Madrid in the quarterfinals as both teams won the last two championships (Madrid in 2022 and Chelsea in 2021), knocking each other out in order to reach the final.
The first legs of the quarterfinals of the Champions League will be played on April 11 and 12 and the second will be played on April 18 and 19, with the specific games and times to be announced at a later date.
