PSG possible starting lineup against Barcelona in the Champions League
Here’s how the French side could line up when they face Xavi’s Barcelona in the Champions League.
Luis Enrique has found his ideal eleven, the side with which he will start the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals against Barcelona (April 10, 2024. KO 3 p.m. ET/ noon PT.). The only doubt in the coach’s mind is who will start at right back.
The absence of Achraf, suspended due to an accumulation of yellow cards, coupled with the absence of Mukiele, will force Lucho to relocate a player who is not used to playing on the right side to make up for the absence of the Moroccan.

Will Mbappé play for PSG against Barcelona?
Marquinhos, who has already played at right-back this season, is the favourite to be Achraf’s replacement. It would be a hybrid position, since, on the ball, when PSG attack, he would tuck in as a third centre-back, allowing Nuno Mendes to join the attack.
Paris Saint-Germain always build-up with three centre-backs, meaning Marquinhos, if not Zaïre-Emery, would only be a full-back in the defensive phase. The other question mark is the player alongside Mbappé and Dembélé, who could be Kang-in Lee. As for Barcola, a starter at the beginning of 2024, has not competed since mid-March and is not match-fit to start.
Luis Enrique’s formation could vary depending on how Barcelona defend. The Paris Saint-Germain XI could resemble a 4-3-3 with Dembélé on the right, Mbappé as a false ‘9′ and Kang-in Lee on the left. However, if they decide to play as they did against Real Sociedad and Rennes, Dembélé could act as a playmaker allowing Mbappé and Kang-in Lee to stay out on the wings, pinning back the opposing defence.
The game between PSG and Barcelona will be played on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. Kick-off is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET/ noon PT. Follow the game live on AS USA.
