The PSG midfielder speaks in Portugal about his present and his future, without mincing his words.

PSG’s in-demand Vitinha on Real Madrid: “It would be foolish”
If anyone was dreaming of seeing Vitinha wearing Real Madrid white, that dream may have to wait – and perhaps for a long time. The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder has been on the Spanish club’s radar for months, with Madrid well aware of his quality and status in the modern game. But in his latest public comments, he appeared to close the door on any potential move away from his current club.
“It would be foolish for me to leave. I don’t think it would be the best thing for me. I feel very good here at PSG. I feel that people appreciate me a lot and I’ve earned that affection. I love being here – my family does too. The group is fantastic and the coach is incredible,” he said on the Portuguese television program Soltinhos pelo mundo on Canal 11.
Vitinha has become one of the undisputed leaders of the Paris squad. The 26-year-old Portuguese midfielder has been representing PSG since 2022, and since arriving for a fee of just over $43 million (around €40 million), he has established himself as an irreplaceable pillar of the team under Luis Enrique.
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi moved to protect Vitinha from interest by other clubs last year, extending his contract through 2029 and awarding him one of the highest salaries in the squad.
