Pulisic thrown off by Rodgers question
USMNT captain Christian Pulisic is a big New York Jets fan, and said he’d love to have Aaron Rodgers as the Jets quarterback.
U.S. men’s national team captain Christian Pulisic is focused on the clash with Grenada in the CONCACAF Nations League tonight. However, he did get thrown off by one reporter’s question.
Pulisic is a Jets fan
Pulisic is a native of Pennsylvania, but a fan of New York sports. He’s revealed that he’s a New York Rangers fan as well as a New York Jets fan.
There has been lots of talk lately about former Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who is now a free agent, joining the Jets. Nothing has come of it just yet, as the Jets and Packers seem to be at a stalemate as they look to make a trade. Either way, the potential of having Rodgers as the quarterback for the Jets got Pulisic pretty excited…and distracted.
“Yeah, I’m excited, man! It’s been a long time since we had a good season,” said Pulisic. “I’m definitely hoping and looking forward to that. Hopefully he will have a good year ahead. And…I forgot the first part of the question.”
Sitting next to interim head coach Anthony Hudson, the two started laughing as Hudson said, “That’s the happiest he’s been all night, by the way!”
If the Jets are able to make a deal happen with Rodgers and the USMNT can get the win over Grenada, Pulisic will likely be even happier.
