Pumas are expected to name an almost unchanged line-up for their Apertura 2023 playoffs opener against Chivas Guadalajara.

Monroy in for Rivas in Pumas’ defence?

Pablo Monroy is in line to replace Jesús Rivas at right-back, in the only alteration to the side that began Pumas’ 1-0 win over Chivas on the final matchday of the regular season earlier this month.

In attack, head coach Antonio Mohamed is set to give Gustavo del Prete the nod over Juan Ignacio Dinenno at centre-forward.

Pumas, who are in the playoff quarter-finals for the first time since the Apertura 2021 tournament, remain without the injured José Caicedo.

Pumas’ possible line-up vs Chivas

Julio González; Adrián Aldrete, Nathan Silva, Lisandro Magallán, Pablo Monroy; Ulises Rivas, Santiago Trigos, César Huerta, Eduardo Salvio; Gabriel Fernández, Gustavo del Prete.
