Rap vibes and Latin beats... who is performing at the Club World Cup opening ceremony?
The 32 team FIFA Club World Cup kicks off on Friday, June 14 at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium as Inter Miami face Al Ahly.
The countdown is very much underway ahead of the inaugural match at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
32 of the biggest club names (PSG, Real Madrid, Boca Juniors, Bayern Munich...) across the planet will meet in the United States to battle it out with the final being staged at MetLife Stadium on 13 July with the competition also serving as a logistical acid test for FIFA with the 2026 World Cup just a year away.
The curtain-raiser sees Al Ahly face Leo Messi and his Inter Miami side at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Friday next with the match set to be preceded with the traditional opening ceremony offering the best in dance and music.
Opening ceremony artists
Emerging talents Vikina and Richaelio will open the show with their performance set to be produced by legendary Miami based Emilio Estefan Jr, a key figure in the crossover of Latin music into mainstream culture.
“This act will celebrate a multicultural sound from around the world, reflecting the rich tapestry of cultures and rhythms that soccer brings together,” said Estefan. “We’re welcoming the world to Miami with music, joy and unity.”
Hip hop star French Montana and Swae Lee will then keep pulses raging with plenty of energy that will keep fans on their feet ahead of the opening game.
“The ceremony will be a vibrant prelude to a competition where one champion will rise to claim one goal, one dream and eternal glory,” said FIFA Chief Event Operations Officer, Heimo Schirgi.
