Rayados beat Pumas to former Manchester United forward
Rayados have the attacker they’ve been looking for, having reportedly agreed to sign a former Premier League star.

Rayados have finally secured the striker they’ve been chasing all summer: Anthony Martial is set to join the club, pending an official announcement.
According to Multimedios journalist Willie González, the French forward will reinforce the squad after weeks of talks with transfer targets. With the transfer window closing on September 12, Monterrey made a last-minute breakthrough.
Who else had Monterrey targeted?
Throughout the search, Rayados considered several attacking options, including Julian Carranza, Borja Mayoral and other forwards playing in Europe and Major League Soccer.
From Greece to Mexico
Martial, who had also been linked with a move to Liga MX club Pumas, arrives from AEK Athens, the Greek side he signed with just a year ago in September 2024.
The 29-year-old’s career is best known for his long stint at Manchester United, where he played from 2015 to 2022, and again from 2022 to 2024.
Before his time in England, Martial came up through the youth ranks at Lyon and made a name for himself at AS Monaco. He also had a brief six-month spell in Spain with Sevilla in 2022.
