Real Madrid champion on Inter Miami’s radar? What we know about the latest rumor

Keylor Navas’ future remains up in the air. While the Costa Rican goalkeeper is enjoying a strong run between the posts for Pumas, his continuity with the Liga MX side is far from guaranteed. That uncertainty has opened the door to other possible destinations, with MLS emerging as one of the strongest options for the three-time Champions League winner.

As Keylor’s next move takes shape, his name has resurfaced in South Florida – particularly in Fort Lauderdale, home of reigning MLS champion Inter Miami, a club that has shown interest in signing him before.

According to Transfermarkt, Inter Miami is interested in Keylor Navas as its new goalkeeper, despite the fact that the MLS club currently has three keepers on its roster.

AS USA has learned that, for now, there is nothing concrete regarding a move for Keylor to Inter Miami. Even so, the club’s past interest in the former Real Madrid goalkeeper was serious – especially after his departure from PSG and before Navas chose to sign with Newell’s Old Boys in Argentina. For that reason, the possibility of Miami reviving its desire to land Lionel Messi’s former PSG teammate cannot be ruled out.

Could Keylor Navas join Inter Miami?

Signing Keylor Navas would not be a problem for Inter Miami, at least during MLS’s secondary transfer window, which opens on July 13 and runs through Sept. 3.

During that window, once his current contract with Pumas expires, Keylor could join Inter Miami as a free agent, negotiating a deal under Targeted Allocation Money. The reigning MLS champion currently has Dayne St. Clair listed as a TAM player, while Rocco Ríos Novo is on the supplemental roster, with Drake Callender Barraza also on that same list.
