Real Madrid locks in record‑breaking Emirates deal through 2031
The main sponsor will continue to appear on the team’s shirt, at least until 2031. It’s an extension of a partnership which began in 2011.
Real Madrid and Emirates have officially extended their partnership, ensuring the world’s largest international airline remains the club’s main shirt sponsor through 2031.
The renewal cements a relationship that will span nearly 20 years, making it one of the longest and most lucrative sponsorships in global soccer.
Madrid lead the way in shirt sponsorship revenue
According to reporting from AS, the previous agreement was worth roughly €70–80 million per season — about $75–$86 million. With the new deal, Madrid will earn close to €100 million, or about $108 million, per year. That figure makes Real Madrid the highest‑earning club in the world when it comes to shirt sponsorship revenue.
The partnership began in 2011, and Emirates became the primary shirt sponsor in 2013. With this renewal, “Fly Emirates” becomes the longest‑running jersey sponsor in LaLiga history, a milestone the club highlighted in its announcement.
The agreement extends beyond the men’s first team. Emirates branding will continue across the women’s team, the basketball division, and all youth categories, reinforcing the airline’s presence throughout the entire Real Madrid ecosystem.
New chapter in the commercial relationship
Boutros Boutros, Emirates Airline’s Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications, Marketing and Brand, celebrated the renewed alliance: “Emirates has a long history of supporting football, connecting with millions of people and bringing communities together through our shared passion for the sport. What we’ve built with Real Madrid is a brilliant example of that commitment — putting fans at the center, giving them unforgettable moments, and inspiring the next generation.”
Club president Florentino Pérez also emphasized the significance of the partnership: “This agreement reflects the very special relationship we’ve built over the years. We have been — and continue to be — together during one of the most successful eras in our history.”
