Real Madrid monitoring Barcelona target Gui Ruck
Real Madrid’s chief scout, Juni Calafat, is determined to bet on Real Valladolid teenager Gui Ruck.
Juni Calafat, Real Madrid’s chief scout, is determined to make a personal bet on Real Valladolid youth team player Gui Ruck. Ruck will turn 15 in April and plays as a forward for the club owned by former Madrid striker Ronaldo Nazário. The talented teenager joined Valladolid in the summer of 2022 with the help of his agent Luiz Rocha.
Calafat - renowned for his scouting success in South America - has confidence in the young player’s characteristics although he has not been one of the key members of his team, having made just three starts in eleven games, in which he has scored three goals. Despite this, the Real Madrid talent-spotter believes in his ability to carry the ball and his technical quality and sees Ruck as an interesting option for the future.
Real Madrid watch Ruck live
With a genuine interest in the talented youngster, Real Madrid recently travelled to the Spanish city of Salamanca to watch Ruck play with Valladolid’s Cadet B team. Madrid have also shown interest in other Valladolid players in the past, such as midfielder Miguel Redondo, who is a year younger than Ruck.
Éder Militão link
In the last few weeks, other parties have become interested in Ruck, including Barcelona, as revealed by Sport. As long as Calafat’s interest translates into an offer, and Luiz Rocha’s relationship with other agents in the world such as Girona’s Pere Guardiola is not a major factor, another factor could tip the balance, and that is that Ruck has family ties with Real Madrid defender Éder Militão, whom he has visited on more than one occasion in Madrid.
