There is no chance of Real Madrid target Kylian Mbappé leaving Paris Saint-Germain this summer, according to Le Parisien. The Paris-based daily newspaper has revealed the forward met with club president Nasser Al Khelaifi earlier in the week to confirm that he fully intends to see out the remaining year of his contract with PSG, even if the Ligue 1 champions decide to leave him on the bench, or in the stands, for the entire season.

Mbappé won’t renew his deal or leave this summer

Despite the intense speculation that has been circulating all summer regarding his possible departure, Mbappé's stance hasn’t changed at all since 12 June, the date on which he first informed his employers that he wouldn’t be extending his current deal beyond the summer of 2024, but that he would be staying for one more season.

PSG attempts to force France captain out

PSG have done everything in their power to sell him, including leaving him out of their pre-season trip to Japan and threatening not to play him for the whole of the upcoming 2023/24 campaign. But, as has been the case all along, Mbappé holds all the cards, with the Parisians unable to force him to leave and sign for another club if he has no intention of doing so.

What next for Kylian Mbappé, PSG and Real Madrid?

Unless something drastic happens, the France captain will pick up the second half of his €80 million (circa $88.2 million) loyalty bonus on 31 August and will be able to leave Paris Saint-Germian on a free transfer next summer. Just what Mbappé - and Real Madrid - have wanted all along.
