Real Madrid vs Espanyol: how to watch, online and on TV
All the information on how and where to watch the LaLiga showdown between Real Madrid and RCD Espanyol at the Santiago Bernabéu on 30 April.
Real Madrid just need a solitary point to secure the league title and with a vital Champions League semi-final decider coming up next Wednesday, head coach Carlo Ancelotti is expected to approach Saturday’s Week 34 LaLiga game against Espanyol by fielding a side comprising mainly his reserve players. Real Madrid have five games to get the point they need to clinch the club’s 35th league title, and while there is no hurry, ideally they would like to get it out of the way as soon as possible.

The veteran Italian coach does not seem too worried about a title party hangover however and believes winning LaLiga would be a great way to boost morale before the return leg.
“If we are able to win the title on Saturday, of course we will celebrate because I think it will help us for the Man City game,” Ancelotti said after Tuesday’s clash at the Etihad.
With five rounds of games still to be played, the leaders benefited from Rayo Vallecano’s shock 1-0 win at second-placed Barcelona last Sunday which left Real with a massive 15-point advantage over bitter rivals Barca and Sevilla, who are third.
Ancelotti is expected to be cautious and rest several usual starters such as Casemiro, Luka Modric, Ferland Mendy, David Alaba and even LaLiga top scorer Karim Benzema as they prepare to face reigning Premier League champions Manchester City.
Espanyol would settle for a draw
Speaking to media ahead of Saturday’s clash, former Real Madrid and current Espanyol striker Raúl de Tomás admitted that a draw would suit both sides.
The striker maintained that irrespective of the player selected by Ancelotti, Real Madrid are: “dangerous opponents no matter who plays”. A point is enough for them to be champions and they will field an eleven with substitutes with their minds set on the second leg of the Champions League against City. “The idea has to be to play as we did against Atlético de Madrid, where we played a great game even though we didn’t win. A draw would be good for Madrid and Espanyol. We will go out to win, but a point would be good. We are going to the leader’s ground, one of the best in the category”, he concluded.
