Two months after Real Madrid’s kit for next season was leaked by Footy Headlines, the club has officially unveiled the strip which the first team will wear during the 2022-23 season. Club legends Raúl, Iker Casillas and Roberto Carlos joined up with members of the current first team squads - Karim Benzema and David Alaba representing the Men’s team, Kenti Robles for the Women’s team for the promotional video and photos, as well as two players from the youth team section, one of whom was Marcelo’s son, Enzo Alves.

Classic Real Madrid colours

Designed by Adidas, the new shirt is a hark back to the classic Madrid kits of the past. Taking the club’s legacy as its inspiration, the shirt is iconic white with purple detailing - a nod to the past, present and future as the club has already celebrated its 120th anniversary earlier this year. The 2022/23 shirt features a button-down, polo collar with purple and black trimming and purple stripes on the shoulders. On the inside, the neck area features a laurel crest motif with 120 AÑOS (120 YEARS) in pale purple with reference to the club’s anniversary. The Adidas logo and Emirates Fly Better lettering are both embossed in black.
