Update:

Longman’s cross was met by Josh Windass, whose far-post flick saw Wrexham’s FA Cup dream continue. Ipswich were the defeated side who could not find a way back into the Fourth Round tie, and the Ryan Reynolds/Rob McElhanney story wrote itself one more chapter.

They had already beaten Premier League strugglers Nottingham Forest on penalties earlier in the season, and the Fifth Round now presents itself as another opportunity to keep the momentum going at a club under a new lease of life. With the two Hollywood stars at the helm, everything is going according to a script they could only have dreamt of.

And for the upcoming game in football’s oldest trophy, the Red Dragons will welcome a challenge straight out of the world of fantasy: Chelsea. The Championship side will play Liam Rosenior’s team at Y Cae Ras stadium which will once again be packed to the rafters.

“Chelsea, at home, what you wanted!”

The draw took place ahead of Macclesfield’s FA Cup dream being cut short by a resilient Brentford side who took no chances against the lower league team who had shown themselves to be something of a giant-killing specialist this season, having beaten the holders Crystal Palace in a sensational result that rocked football.

For the draw, Deadpool was sat next to Wolverine on a sofa with the Wrexham owner holding a tablet. It was actually the Australian who was first to react, screaming “Oh!” before telling a stunned Reynolds what was happening; “Chelsea”, Jackman said, with Reynolds questioning “at home?”

A quick explanation from the Australian to the American “at home, against Chelsea, that’s what you wanted”, was enough for Reynolds to finally understand, claps his hands together, and scream. “Fuck, what the fuck,” was all Deadpool could pull together as far as grammar went. And it was enough.
