Salah-Liverpool future decision made

After intense weeks of speculation in England and around the world about Mohamed Salah’s future, reports from the UK indicate that a renewal agreement has been finalized. The Mirror reports that the Egyptian forward has agreed to sign a new two-year contract with Liverpool, seemingly putting an end to all doubts surrounding Salah’s future at Anfield.

After months of negotiations, the club’s owners, Fenway Sports Group, have reached an agreement with the player. Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas, had long communicated to the Liverpool board that the goal was a three-year deal. However, the board initially proposed just a one-year extension, which Salah found unconvincing. Ultimately, it appears that the compromise was a two-year agreement, satisfying both parties. Official details of the new contract have not yet been released.

Salah raised alarm bells

The Salah saga heated up before the match against Real Madrid.

“We’re almost in December, and I still haven’t received any offer to stay with the club. I’m probably more out than in. You all know I’ve been at this club for many years, and there’s no club like this, but in the end, it’s not in my hands. As I said, it’s December, and I still haven’t heard anything about my future,” the Egyptian told British media.

This statement came at a time when Salah was in exceptional form, remaining an indispensable part of Liverpool’s lineup. So far this Premier League season, he has scored 13 goals and provided 8 assists in 14 matches. At 32, he still has room to continue making history in the Premier League.
