The future of Santiago Giménez has been the subject of much speculation over the past year or so; the 22-year-old Mexican has been in fantastic form in the Netherlands, leading the scoring charts in the Eredivisie and becoming one of the standout players in the league. Given this rich vein of scoring form, the forward is catching the eye of Europe’s top clubs.

According to English media, Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal are said to be linked with the player and were present at the Feyenoord game against Ajax, where Santiago got three goals and an assist. Soon after, Tomás Roncero asked for Real Madrid to keep an eye on the forward, something that seems to have been taken on board at the Bernabéu.

Madrid ‘could make a move for Giménez’

It is worth remembering that Konour is a transfer specialist and his sources are often fairly reliable when it comes to Serie A and LaLiga.

How much would Santiago Giménez cost?

Santiago Giménez is valued at around €25 million, however, given his good form in the Eredivisie, Feyenoord would only be willing to let their man man go for a fee of €40 million - €50 million. The January market is notoriously difficult to buy and sell players, as teams know that buyers are desperate and sellers are reluctant given the lack of replacement options mid-season. For now, Giménez will play with Feyenoord as they fight for the domestic league and UEFA Champions League, where the club find themselves in Group E alongside Atlético Madrid, Lazio and Celtic.

However, when Real Madrid come calling, it is often difficult to turn down...
